Trying clip-ons
I've been cycling in the proper clip-on shoes this week and the difference is amazing. Now I am using the whole stroke, up-down-around in a continuous motion and it so much more efficient. It feels different on my legs because now I am using my hamstrings and quads equally and not just my quads. I had hesitated trying the bicycle shoes because it seems that everyone I know has fallen off their bikes when they first ride using them. This is because you have to clip them off as you approach each stop. If you don't you will fall. So I need to make the unclipping second nature. All week I have been practicing in the gym: clip-on, clip-off, clip-on, clip-off and so on. Next Saturday will be my first outside experience. Till next time-Anne
